Our Story

On February 28, 2022, as Ukraine faced unthinkable devastation, Ukrainian Patriot (UP) was born from the unshakable determination to act. It began with our founder, Lana Nicole Niland, and a small team of volunteers loading their cars with supplies and driving into the conflict zone. What started as a grassroots response has grown into a trusted lifeline for thousands across the frontline regions of Ukraine.

Today, Ukrainian Patriot is a trusted NGO registered in Ukraine, Canada, and the United States. We leverage the power of 100+ committed volunteers from across the world and Points of Contact (POCs) within local communities to help make Ukraine a safer, freer place to live.

Our strength isn’t just in logistics—it’s in the human connections we build. We deliver more than supplies; we bring light, love, hope, and connection to those who need it most.

How We Work

Step 1

We receive direct requests for aid from individuals, hospitals, and organisations across Ukraine.

Step 2

Every request is carefully reviewed, vetted, and verified to ensure the greatest impact.

Step 3

If approved, our ground crew coordinates with trusted local contacts to work out the logistics.

Step 4

We personally deliver life-saving aid to the people and communities who need it most.

But that’s not all. Where we can, we also engage in resilience sessions with children, women, and defenders. In addition to bringing tangible items to people in need, we also deliver light, love, hope, and connection—that’s what makes us different.
